- Delcam or MasterCam programming experience.
Responsibilities
- Perform complex machining on CNC milling machines and read G-code.
- Mentor employees to resolve complex machining problems.
- Write and edit CNC programs to meet production requirements ensuring cost & quality.
- Set and operate 3, 4, and 5 axis machines.
- Read and understand technical drawings.
- Produce quality parts in a timely manner and verify conformance with specs.
- Collaborate with machinists and engineering to improve processes.
- Provide hands-on leadership across shifts within the CNC department.
- Maintain a safe working environment and report safety concerns.
- Support production board by monitoring daily performance.
- Assist with performance reviews and feedback to the team.
- Identify training needs to enhance team skills.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Perform complex machining operations on CNC milling machines and read and understand G-code
- Mentor fellow employees to resolve complex machining problems
- Write and edit complex CNC programs to support production requirements providing optimum manufacturing cost and quality.
- Set and operate 3, 4, and 5 axis machines
- Read and understand Technical drawings
- Produce quality parts in a timely mannerVerify conformance of finished workpieces to specifications using precision measuring instruments.
- Collaborate with machinists, Engineering, and Product/Production Management to solve problems and improve processes.
- Provide hands‑on leadership/training for all team members across shifts for all stages and processes within the CNC department.
- Establish and maintain a safe working environment, reporting any safety concerns and preventative measures.
- Support the “Production Board” by monitoring the daily performance/execution to the routed hours, including quality product to specification and on time.
- Support management to conduct employee performance reviews, provide frequent constructive feedback to your team or report any performance concerns up to management where appropriate
- Identify and implement necessary team training and development to enhance and/or maintain team skill levels
- Other duties as assigned
Required
- HNC/HND (Mechanical, Manufacturing Technology or Industrial Technology) or equivalent experience in a related field
- Proven machining experience on CNC equipment or using CNC solid modeling (turning and milling)
- Delcam or MasterCam Programming experience
- Extensive knowledge of machine functions (G code, M code, Offsets, etc)
- Strong leadership and communication skills
Preferred
- Lean Manufacturing
- Previous experience in leadership position
- Previous manufacturing experience in the vacuum industry
