Job summary

React Recruitment Ltd is recruiting for a CNC Setter/Operator in the Hoo, Rochester area. Initially on days during training, then rotating shifts after training to cover early and late shifts. You will be responsible for setting and operating CNC lathes and machining centres using Fanuc and Mitsubishi controls.

Programming experience is not essential. The role requires an apprenticeship and 3 years' CNC experience, with 5S in the workplace and good numeracy.

Qualifications

• Relevant apprenticeship completed.
• 3 years' CNC operating/setting experience.
• Experience with 5S in the workplace.
• Good literacy and numeracy, computer literate.
• Read and understand manufacturing drawings.
• Good communication skills; autonomous and proactive.

Responsibilities

• Handle machine changeovers and production runs to schedule.
• Produce components within tolerances from drawings.
• Set up and adjust machines; record quality data.
• Follow 5S and maintain clean, safe work area.
• Supervise when the supervisor is absent and train others.
