Job summary

Wild Recruitment Ltd is seeking an experienced CNC Setter / Operator in Whitstable for a permanent role. The position involves setting and operating CNC lathes to produce precision components, reading engineering drawings and conducting inspections on a busy manufacturing line.

The role requires familiarity with Fanuc controls and 4-axis machines, with shift patterns across the week. A relocation package is available for the right candidate to support joining the team.

CNC Setter / Operator

We're looking for an experienced CNC Setter / Operator to join a busy manufacturing team producing high-quality precision components using CNC multi-tasking lathes.

Key Responsibilities

• Set and operate CNC lathes for small to medium batch production.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Inspect components using measuring equipment.
• Edit Fanuc-based programs.
• Carry out machine maintenance checks.
• Complete quality and traceability documentation.
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping and safety.

About You

• Experience setting and operating CNC lathes.
• Knowledge of 4-axis CNC machines and Fanuc controls.
• Able to read engineering drawings and use inspection equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Desirable

• Twin spindle machine experience.
• Knowledge of AS9100 standards.

Shift Pattern

Week 1

• Monday to Friday, 6:00am to 2:00pm

Week 2

• Monday to Thursday, 2:00pm to 10:30pm
• Friday, 2:00pm to 7:30pm
