Job summary

Howmet Aerospace Inc. in the United Kingdom is seeking a CNC Setter/Operator (MK1) for the PM shift at our Leicester Plant. The role offers an hourly rate starting at £18.76 (incl.

22.5% shift allowance) with a rate rise to £19.59 per hour from January 2027 (incl. 20% shift allowance). Responsibilities include setting, fault finding, operating machines to produce fasteners to tolerances, in-process deburring, self-inspection, and using gauges to verify specifications.

Qualifications

• Experience of working within a busy Manufacturing environment.
• Experience setting CNC Machines preferably DMG/Mori/CMZ/Doosan with fanuc/sieman controls.
• Aerospace experience would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Set, fault find and operate machines to produce fasteners to tight tolerances.
• In-process deburring and self-inspection.
• Use gauges and measuring equipment to ensure product meets specifications.
• Prove out downloaded programs for correct timings and upload proven programs.
• Maintain accurate computer files and paperwork.
• Produce SPC charts and records.
• Maintain highest housekeeping standards.
• Adhere to quality procedures and participate in root cause analysis.
