Job summary

The Best Connection is recruiting an Experienced CNC Setter / Operator in Watford to work on Doosan, Citizen and Star machines, producing components for various applications. This is a full-time role for the right candidate.

You will set sliding and fixed head lathes, read engineering drawings, perform first-off inspections, and contribute to prototype and batch work while maintaining safety and quality.

The company offers stable hours and a pay rate of £35k per annum depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Ability to work to tight tolerances with various metals.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work.
• Must come from engineering background.
• Setting & programming CNC lathes.

Responsibilities

Our client based in Watford is currently recruiting for a Experienced CNC Setter / Operator to work on Doosan, Citizen and Star machines, producing components for various applications. Full Time role available for the right candidate.

CNC Setter / Operator Main duties will include:

• Set both Sliding and Fixed Head lathes for precision batch production.
• Read, interpret and work to engineering drawings and specifications.
• Perform first-off inspections and quality checks to ensure component accuracy.
• Work on prototype and repeat batch work in line with production schedules.
• Collaborate with the production team to troubleshoot, improve and maintain machine performance.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment and follow health & safety guidelines.

CNC Setter / Operator Experience Required:

• Ability to work to tight tolerances with various metals.
• Capable of reading and interpreting detailed engineering drawings.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Must come from engineering background

CNC Setter / Operator Shift:

• Monday to Thursday 8am to 5pm
• Friday 8am to 13pm

CNC Setter / Operator Pay Rate:

• £35k per annum depending on experience
