Job summary

The Best Connection in Watford is seeking an Experienced CNC Setter / Operator to work on Doosan, Citizen and Star machines, producing components for various applications. This full-time role includes setting and programming CNC lathes, reading engineering drawings, and performing first-off inspections.

You will join a team to ensure quality and on-time production, adhering to safety guidelines and working hours from Monday to Thursday 8am–5pm and Friday 8am–1pm.

• Ability to work to tight tolerances with various metals.
• Capable of reading and interpreting detailed engineering drawings.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Must come from engineering background

Responsibilities

CNC Setter / Operator The Best Connection England, Hertfordshire, Watford

Our client based in Watford is currently recruiting for a Experienced CNC Setter / Operator to work on Doosan, Citizen and Star machines, producing components for various applications. Full Time role available for the right candidate.

CNC Setter / Operator Main duties will include:

• Set both Sliding and Fixed Head lathes for precision batch production.
• Read, interpret and work to engineering drawings and specifications.
• Perform first-off inspections and quality checks to ensure component accuracy.
• Work on prototype and repeat batch work in line with production schedules.
• Collaborate with the production team to troubleshoot, improve and maintain machine performance.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment and follow health & safety guidelines.

CNC Setter / Operator Experience Required:

• Ability to work to tight tolerances with various metals.
• Capable of reading and interpreting detailed engineering drawings.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.

CNC Setter / Operator Shift:
