Location: Darlaston
Pay: £13.50-£17.00 per hour, depending on experience and skill set
Hours: 39 hours per week - Monday-Thursday 7:00am-4:30pm, Friday half day
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
We are currently recruiting for an experienced CNC Setter / Operator to join a busy machine shop in Darlaston, working primarily with CNC lathes and turning machinery.
Ideally, we're looking for someone who can both set and operate CNC turning machines, although we are willing to consider a strong CNC operator who is looking to develop their setting skills.
Pay will be dependent on experience, with a potential range of £13.50-£17.00 per hour based on the candidate's overall skill set.
- Setting and operating CNC turning/lathes
- Producing components to drawing and specification
- Loading and unloading machines
- Selecting and changing tooling
- Adjusting offsets and machine settings
- Carrying out in-process quality checks
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
- Ensuring components meet required tolerances and quality standards

- Previous experience operating CNC lathes/turning machines
- Ideally able to set as well as operate
- Experience reading engineering drawings
