Job summary

Reevr Talent Ltd is seeking a hands-on CNC Setter/Operator in Whitchurch. You will set up Robo Drill CNC milling machines, operate saws and manual machinery, and read engineering drawings to tight tolerances.

The role offers variety and opportunities to learn CNC programming while keeping production moving. You will contribute to quality by inspecting parts, selecting tooling, and performing efficient changeovers.

Responsibilities

• Set up Robo Drill CNC milling machines and operate them.
• Set and operate saw and manual machinery.
• Read drawings and measure components to tolerances.
• Select tooling and calibrate for each job to maintain quality.
• Perform machine changeovers efficiently to keep production moving.
• Load and verify CNC programs; learn more programming over time.
• Assist with prototype and new component work as needed.
• Identify and report opportunities to improve efficiency and quality.
• Keep work area and machines clean, safe and well maintained.

Job description

CNC Setter / Operator Whitchurch Full Time, Permanent Hours: Monday to Friday 08:00 to 16:45 and early Friday finish Hands-on machining. Precision parts. Room to develop. If you're an experienced CNC Setter/Operator who takes pride in getting machines set correctly, producing quality components and keeping production moving, this could be a great opportunity.

We're looking for someone with Drill CNC experience to join an established manufacturing environment in Whitchurch, working across CNC milling, saw and manual machining.

This is a genuinely hands-on position, with plenty of variety and the opportunity to build on your existing CNC skills and develop your programming knowledge over time.

What will you be doing?

You’ll be involved throughout the machining process, including:

• Setting and operating Robo Drill CNC milling machines
• Setting and operating saw and manual machinery
• Reading engineering drawings and working accurately to dimensions and tolerances
• Measuring and inspecting finished components
• Selecting and setting tooling correctly for each job
• Carrying out efficient machine changeovers
• Loading and checking CNC programmes, with the opportunity to learn more about CNC programming
• Using Renishaw probing where required — experience is useful but not essential
• Supporting prototype and new component work
• Troubleshooting machine and machining issues
• Identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, quality and repeatability
• Keeping machinery, tooling and your working area clean, safe and well maintained

What we're looking for

We're looking for someone who is practical, reliable and confident around CNC machinery.

You’ll ideally have:

• Previous CNC Setting and Operating experience
• Strong CNC setting and operating experience
• Good understanding of milling and machining processes
• Experience with manual machining and/or saws
• Ability to read engineering drawings and specifications
• Experience using inspection and measuring equipment
• Good knowledge of tooling and machining methods
• Strong attention to detail
• Good practical problem-solving skills
• A willingness to learn and develop
