Job summary

Manpower UK is seeking an experienced CNC Setter/Operator for a busy manufacturing environment. You will set and operate CNC machinery to produce fasteners and precision components to customer drawings and specifications.

The role requires reading engineering drawings, using measuring equipment, and performing in-process inspections to ensure high quality and on-time delivery. This is a full-time permanent position with immediate start available.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience setting and operating CNC machinery.
  • Experience manufacturing special fasteners would be highly advantageous.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Competent using measuring and inspection equipment.
  • Previous product inspection experience is desirable.
  • Ability to operate more than one machine.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Well organised, focused, and capable of working accurately.
  • Positive, proactive, and reliable approach to work.

Responsibilities

  • Set and operate CNC machinery safely and efficiently.
  • Manufacture special fasteners and components to customer drawings and specifications.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Use measuring equipment to ensure components meet required tolerances.
  • Carry out in-process quality checks and inspections.
  • Make machine adjustments as required to maintain product quality.
  • Operate multiple machines where necessary.
  • Work closely with production and quality teams to ensure work is completed accurately and on schedule.
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment.
  • Follow all company quality, health & safety, and manufacturing procedures.

CNC Setter / Operator

£16.00 - £18.00 per hour (DOE)
40 hours per week

About the Role

We are currently recruiting for an experienced CNC Setter / Operator to join a busy and well-established manufacturing business. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled engineer with CNC setting and operating experience to play a key role in the production of specialist fasteners and precision-engineered components.

Working within a fast-paced production environment, you will be responsible for setting and operating CNC machinery to manufacture components to customer drawings and specifications, ensuring the highest standards of quality, accuracy, and efficiency are achieved.

Key Responsibilities
