Job summary

Kinetic plc is seeking a skilled CNC Setter in East Cheshire to set and operate CNC lathes or machining centres. This permanent, on-site role offers a salary of £37,500–£38,750 per year. You will work from engineering drawings and 3D CAD models, with most programs generated offline so only alterations are needed at the machine.

Shifts are 6–2, 2–11 and 2–6 on Friday. Candidates should be time served or apprenticed in a relevant discipline with a minimum of 5 years’ experience and the ability to

• Minimum of 5 years industry experience.
• Ideally experience of programming but not essential as most programs are generated offline so only alterations needed at the machine.
• Able to work well on your own and as a team.

CNC Setter

Location: East Cheshire, England (commutable from Warrington, Altrincham, Knutsford, Middlewich, Macclesfield, Wilmslow & Southwest Manchester areas)

Contract: Permanent

Salary: £37500-38750 per annum

Hours: 6-2pm/2-11pm (Mon-Thu) & 2-6pm Friday (late shift)

Responsibilities

• Setting & Operating CNC Lathes or machining centres
• Programs mainly generated offline so only experience of modifying or altering of programs required.
• Producing one-off and short‑run precision components from engineering drawings and 3D CAD models.
• Machining a variety of materials.

Candidate

• Time served or apprentice qualified in a relevant discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years industry experience.
• Ideally experience of programming but not essential as most programs are generated offline so only alterations needed at the machine.
