Noble Recruiting are partnering with a well-established engineering company in Southend-on-Sea, Essex, recruiting an experienced CNC Setter Operator to join the team. The role offers a permanent, full-time position with a salary of £30,000 to £35,000 per annum DOE.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience setting and running CNC machines.
• Experience within aerospace or defence engineering is essential.
• Confident reading technical drawings.
• Good understanding of inspection, quality and tight tolerances.
• Willingness to learn grinding and additional machining processes.
• Driver with own transport due to the company location.

Responsibilities

• Set and run CNC machines
• Operate manual and second operation machines where required
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
• Use micrometers and measuring equipment to tight tolerances
• Carry out first off inspections and job run checks
• Maintain machine efficiency and quality standardsComplete daily maintenance check sheets and cycle timesheets
• Support production targets, on time delivery and quality procedures
