Job summary

Oadby Plastics Ltd is seeking a CNC Stetter Operator to join our Leicester-based team on a permanent, full-time basis. The role covers 3-axis setter/operator duties, editing and programming CNC machines, and ensuring parts meet drawings and tolerances with a strong emphasis on safety and quality.

You will interpret CAD drawings, select tools and materials, run checks, and support production goals in a busy plastics manufacturing facility with modern, well-equipped plants.

Qualifications

• Experience programming 3-axis CNC machines using CAD/CAM software.
• Experience setting up and operating 3-axis CNC machinery.
• Strong ability to interpret engineering drawings, tolerances, and machining specifications.
• High attention to detail with a strong understanding of precision measurement and machining processes.

Responsibilities

• Editing, setting and operating 3 axis CNC machines to produce components that meet technical drawings, tolerances, and quality standards.
• Selecting the right materials, tools and machining strategies, and carrying out first-off and final checks to ensure accuracy.
• Interpreting CAD drawings and engineering information to deliver precise and consistent results.
• Performing daily and weekly machine checks, maintaining equipment, and reporting any issues to the CNC Lead Operator or Production Supervisor.

What you will be doing

Working as part of the CNC team, the CNC 3 Axis Setter/Operator plays a key role in producing high-quality components to exact specifications. You'll be responsible for editing, setting and operating 3 axis CNC machinery, ensuring accuracy, efficiency and a strong focus on safety and quality throughout the process. In this role, you'll help keep production running smoothly and support our wider goals across the department.

• Salary - £14.30 - £16 per hour depending on experience
