Job summary

Oadby Plastics in Leicester is seeking a CNC Setter Operator to join a busy production team. You will edit, set and run 3‑axis CNC machines to meet precise drawings, monitor quality and maintain safety throughout the shift.

Experience with CAD/CAM, reading engineering drawings, and a careful eye for detail are essential; training and development are available in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Experience editing and programming 3 axis CNC machines using CAD/CAM software.
• Experience setting up and operating 3 axis CNC machinery.
• Strong ability to interpret engineering drawings, tolerances, and machining specifications.
• High attention to detail with a strong understanding of precision measurement and machining processes.

Responsibilities

• Editing, setting and operating 3 axis CNC machines to produce components that meet technical drawings, tolerances and quality standards.
• Selecting the right materials, tools and machining strategies, and carrying out first‑off and final checks to ensure accuracy.

What You Will Be Doing

Working as part of the CNC team, the CNC 3 Axis Setter/Operator plays a key role in producing high-quality components to exact specifications. You’ll be responsible for editing, setting and operating 3 axis CNC machinery, ensuring accuracy, efficiency and a strong focus on safety and quality throughout the process. In this role, you’ll help keep production running smoothly and support our wider goals across the department.

You day to day responsibilities include:
