Job description

Permanent CNC Service Engineer Position

We have an exciting opportunity for a CNC Service Engineer to join a global, market-leading engineering business. You will be responsible for working on a wide range of CNC equipment, providing timely and efficient machine repairs, installations, and upgrades for customers. This is an excellent opportunity to work for a market-leading Machine Tool manufacturer, with great benefits and progression opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Service and repair CNC Machines.
• Work to schedules to ensure customer demands are met.
• Provide customers with a first-class service.
• Ensure all activities are completed within Health and Safety guidelines.
• Troubleshoot problems.
• Proactively recommend necessary service and maintenance programs.

Requirements:

• Knowledge of CNC machine tools and servicing/repair experience.
• Mechanical bias with the ability to undertake electrical tasks as required.
• Highly motivated, proactive, and innovative to help improve processes.
• Clear communication at all levels of the customer organization.
• Flexible approach to a varied workload.

A company vehicle will be provided, and the company will meet all running costs associated with business use. The vehicle will be available for private use, but you will pay for all non-business mileage fuel. The provision of a company vehicle constitutes a Benefit in Kind tax liability.

Compensation and Benefits:

• Weekday overtime – Up to 2 hours/day at +33%, beyond 2 hours/day at +50%
• Saturday – hours worked at +50%
• Sundays and statutory holidays – hours worked at +100%
• Time for completing timesheets on Fridays – 1 hour.
• Expenses: Hotel up to £120, evening meals up to £30 per night (receipted), lunch £9 (receipted), car valeting £6/week or £24/month (receipted).
• Payment from door to door/hotel.
• Fuel card for business miles.
