Founded in 1985, ATS is a company with a presence in the United States, Mexico, and the United Kingdom. We specialize in Industrial Maintenance, helping factories operate more efficiently.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: These include, but are not limited to, the following duties, each of which accounts for at least 20% of the employee's time. Additional site or department-specific duties may be assigned by the manager on a job design form.

  1. Perform reactive and planned maintenance, including observing devices in operation to identify root causes, dismantling devices to access and replace defective parts, examining parts for imperfections, adjusting functional parts and control instruments, repairing or replacing defective parts, testing device performance, and testing electrical circuitry and mechanical systems. Recondition and repair machine tools. Order supplies and repair items as needed. Perform simple welding tasks.
  2. Collaborate closely with the planner/scheduler. Analyze failures and recommend engineered solutions. Layout, wire, build, and troubleshoot electrical panels and machinery in compliance with NFPA/NEC standards.
  3. Maintain grounds and building exteriors by performing routine electrical, mechanical, carpentry, and HVAC repairs as required.
  4. Set up and operate various machining tools such as lathes, drill presses, grinders, and other metalworking equipment to make and repair parts. Willingness to travel to remote sites on short notice is required.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This position does not have supervisory responsibilities but may involve training, orienting, leading, or checking the work of lower-level employees.

OTHER SKILLS: Participates in Service/Quality initiatives, continually improves processes, and monitors them quantitatively. Completes required quality training and adheres to safety procedures. Must be organized, self-motivated, and a team player. Capable of analyzing and solving problems, using advanced diagnostic tools, reading and interpreting various documents, and communicating effectively.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Must have an associate degree with a technical focus from a two-year college or technical institution, with five to fifteen years of related industry experience, including five years in controls.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT: Regularly required to stand, walk, handle objects, reach, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk, and hear. Occasionally sit and lift/move over 50 pounds. Work environment includes factory noise, potential exposure to hazardous materials, electrical shock risk, and outside weather conditions. Reasonable accommodations may be provided for disabilities.
