Job summary

Major Recruitment is seeking a skilled CNC Mill/Turn Programmer, Setter & Operator to join the Brighouse production team. The role involves programming from drawings and producing precision components to the highest standards.

Hours are 36.75 per week with day shifts; salary is £16–£18 per hour plus overtime. This is a stable full-time position in a fast-paced, high-precision environment.

Qualifications

• Apprentice-trained or time-served machinist.
• Strong background in CNC turning with live tooling.
• Experience with Fanuc, Mazak or Siemens controls.
• Ability to work from drawings with minimal supervision.
• Experience machining large components and small batch work.
• Self-motivated with strong initiative and attention to detail.
• Team player with commitment to HSQE standards.

Responsibilities

• Program, set and operate Mill/Turn CNC machines
• Produce components from engineering drawings to finished parts
• Work to tight tolerances in a high-precision environment
• Manufacture small batch and one-off components
• Maintain high levels of quality, safety, and housekeeping
• Use and adapt programs across Fanuc, Mazak or Siemens controls
