Job summary

Ernest Gordon Recruitment Limited is seeking a CNC Miller (Programmer / Setter / Operator) in Halifax, West Yorkshire. The role offers a day shift with early finish on Fridays and overtime opportunities, with a salary range of £17.50-£19.80 per hour.

You will program, set and operate 3- and 4-axis vertical milling machines using Heidenhain controls, loading and editing programs at the machine, and inspecting complex components made from Inconel, Nitronic and stainless steel.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Heidenhain controls and programming at the machine.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and machine to tight tolerances.
• Able to commute to Halifax.

Responsibilities

• Program, set and operate 3 and 4-axis vertical CNC milling machines using Heidenhain controls.
• Load, prove, edit and optimise programs directly at the machine.
• Machine components from Inconel, Nitronic, stainless steel and other specialist alloys.
• Monday to Thursday, 7:00am-3:30pm, and Friday, 7:00am-1:00pm.
