Job summary

Workforce Staffing Ltd in Bury is seeking a CNC Miller Programmer – Heidenhain to join a precision engineering team. The role involves programming, setting and operating 3-axis CNC milling machines with Heidenhain controls to produce one-off components, including large fabrications up to 4–5 metres long.

The successful candidate will read engineering drawings, maintain high quality and tolerances, and thrive in a 4-day week with a paid 39-hour week. Overtime is available at 1.5x.

Qualifications

• Proven experience programming, setting and operating CNC milling machines using Heidenhain controls.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Experience machining one-off bespoke components and large fabrications is highly desirable.
• Experience using standard inspection equipment such as verniers, micrometers and gauges.

Responsibilities

• Programme, set and operate 3-axis CNC milling machines using Heidenhain controls.
• Machine one-off bespoke components, including large fabricated and framework parts up to 4–5 metres in length.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Produce high-quality precision components to fine tolerances.
• Inspect finished components using standard measuring equipment.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment.
• Work independently and collaboratively within the engineering team.
• Support production requirements, including overtime when required.

Job Title: CNC Miller Programmer – Heidenhain

Job Type: Permanent

Location: Bury

Salary:Up to £21.00 per hour DOE (depending on experience and skill level)

Working Hours

• 4-Day Working Week
• Monday to Thursday: 6:00am – 3:30pm
• Paid for 39 hours per week.
• Employees can either take their paid 15-minute tea break each day or work through it.
• Friday overtime available until 12:00pm, paid at 1.5x the hourly rate.
• Additional overtime is available and paid at 1.5x.
