Job summary

Westray Recruitment Consultants Ltd in Consett is seeking a time-served CNC Turner to join a precision engineering team. You will program and operate Mazak 200Y, 300Y and J300 five-axis centres to produce components from engineering drawings.

You will machine to tolerance of ±0.1 mm, with finishing to 0.02 mm, and ensure production deadlines are met while maintaining quality. Applicants should read drawings, work well under pressure, and communicate effectively.

Qualifications

• Time-served CNC Turner with Mazak programming experience.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Strong organisational skills to meet production deadlines.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the production team in the CNC machine shop.
• Program and operate Mazak 200Y, Mazak 300Y and Mazak J300 5-axis centres.
• Produce components to engineering drawings and deadlines.
• Machine to tolerances of ±0.1mm.
• Carry out final machining to tight tolerances of 0.02mm.
