Kurt J Lesker Company Ltd is hiring a CNC Programmer Machinist for our East Sussex operations. The role focuses on programming, setting up, and operating CNC milling machines with CAM software proficiency.

You will read technical drawings, write complex CNC programs, mentor colleagues, and ensure parts meet exact specifications using precision measuring tools. Join a global leader in vacuum technology with strong sustainability values.

Qualifications

• Experience in CNC programming and machining with a solid CAM software understanding.
• ONC/HNC (Mechanical/Manufacturing Technology) or equivalent experience.
• Proven ability to read and interpret technical drawings and G-code.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex machining operations on CNC milling machines and read and understand G-code.
• Mentor fellow employees to resolve complex machining problems.
• Write and edit complex CNC programs to support production requirements, optimizing cost and quality.
• Set and operate 3-, 4-, and 5-axis machines.
• Read and understand technical drawings.
• Produce quality parts in a timely manner.
• Verify conformance of finished workpieces to specifications using precision measuring instruments.
• Collaborate with machinists, Engineering, and Product/Production Management to solve problems and improve processes.

Key Responsibilities: Perform complex machining operations on CNC milling machines and read and understand G-code Mentor fellow employees to resolve complex machining problems Write and edit complex CNC programs to support production requirements providing optimum manufacturing cost and quality.

Set and operate 3, 4, and 5 axis machines Read and understand Technical drawings Produce quality parts in a timely manner Verify conformance of finished workpieces to specifications using precision measuring instruments. Collaborate with machinists, Engineering, and Product/Production Management to solve problems and improve processes.
