Job summary

CIRCOR International’s Hale Hamilton (Valves) Limited is seeking a CNC Programmer for our Uxbridge site. You will develop and maintain CNC programmes using AlphaCAM for both horizontal and vertical machining centres, read complex drawings, select tooling and optimise speeds and feeds to meet tight tolerances.

You will collaborate with Production and Engineering to improve processes, review and update programmes, and support day-to-day shop floor activities in a 37.5-hour week with Fridays off.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated CNC programming experience with a strong background in milling and machining operations.
• Proficiency in offline programming using CAD/CAM and ability to support shop-floor machining.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and GD&T specifications to ensure accurate manufacturing processes.
• Strong problem-solving skills, hands-on approach and drive for continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain CNC programmes using AlphaCAM.
• Create efficient CNC milling programmes for horizontal and vertical centres.
• Read and interpret drawings, specs and 3D models and develop work holding solutions.
• Select tooling, speeds and feeds to optimise performance and manufacture components to tight tolerances.
• Collaborate with Production and Engineering to improve processes and resolve challenges.
• Review, update and optimise CNC programmes for various machining centres.
• Assist the Machine Shop Supervisor with day-to-day tasks.
• Continuously improve existing CNC programmes for productivity and quality.
