Job summary

Ross Frank in Soham, Cambridgeshire, is seeking an experienced CNC Miller who can programme, set and machine components from engineering drawings with minimal supervision. The role covers from programming through to finished inspection, producing high-precision parts for low to medium batch work on multi-axis milling machines.

You will select tooling, speeds and feeds, perform first-off inspections and adhere to tight tolerances. Fusion 360 experience is beneficial; HAAS controls are preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience of offline/online programming, setting and operating CNC mills.
• HAAS controls experience preferred.
• 3-axis or 4-axis machining experience.
• Experience in precision engineering environments.
• Experience with stainless steel, aluminium, engineering plastics and exotic alloys.
• Inspection using micrometers and verniers.
• Autodesk Fusion 360 experience would be advantageous but isn't essential.

Responsibilities

• Creating and editing CAM programs (Fusion 360 experience beneficial).

They're looking for an experienced CNC Miller who can confidently programme, set and machine components from engineering drawings with minimal supervision.

The Role

You will be responsible for producing high-precision components from low to medium batch work, taking jobs from programming through to finished inspection.

• Programming, setting and operating Multi-axis CNC milling machines
• Producing precision components to tight tolerances
• Creating and editing CAM programs (Fusion 360 experience beneficial)
• Selecting tooling, workholding, speeds and feeds
• First-off inspection and in-process quality checks
• Reading engineering drawings and 3D models
• Identifying opportunities to improve machining methods and cycle times

We're interested in speaking to CNC Millers with experience in:
