Job summary

Streamline Search client, a well-established structural steel contractor, is seeking a CNC Operator to join the Production team. You will operate CNC machinery, ensure tooling is correct, and process structural steel sections accurately.

Reporting to the CNC/Production Manager, you will keep records with TnT scanning and Strumis, maintain safety, and help meet production targets while supporting a busy fabrication department.

Qualifications

• Experience operating CNC machinery in a manufacturing/engineering/steel environment.
• Experience working with structural steel sections is essential.
• Strong attention to detail and quality.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC machinery and equipment safely, including overhead cranes.
• Ensure tooling is correct and fit for purpose before starting work.
• Process structural steel sections accurately and to production targets.
• Record work activity using TnT scanning and Strumis systems.
• Carry out accuracy checks and mark products before passing to next operation.
• Report machinery issues to CNC/Production Manager or Maintenance Department.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organized working environment.
• Adhere to Health and Safety procedures and written work instructions.
• Ensure materials are available to Fabrication Department as required.
