Job summary

Bimplus is seeking an experienced CNC Operator to join their production team in the UK. You will operate CNC machinery to process structural steel sections, ensuring accuracy and on-time delivery within a busy fabrication environment.

Based on Monday to Friday, the role offers £35,000-£40,000 depending on experience, private healthcare, a pension scheme, and additional employee benefits as part of a growing structural steel contractor.

Qualifications

• Experience operating CNC machinery in a manufacturing, engineering or structural steel environment.
• Experience working with Structural Steel Sections is essential.
• Strong understanding of CNC machinery and production processes.
• Excellent accuracy and attention to detail.
• Good communication and ability to work as part of a team.
• Able to work independently and meet production targets.
• Conscientious, hardworking, flexible and health and safety aware.
• Proactive in identifying and reporting issues.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC machinery and associated equipment safely and efficiently, including overhead cranes.
• Ensure tooling is correct and fit for purpose before commencing work.
• Process structural steel sections accurately and efficiently, meeting required quality and production targets.
• Complete relevant documentation and record work activity using TnT scanning and Strumis systems.
• Carry out regular accuracy checks and ensure products are correctly marked before passing to the next operation.
• Report any machinery issues to the CNC/Production Manager or Maintenance Department.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment.
• Adhere to all Health and Safety procedures and written work instructions.
• Ensure materials are available to the Fabrication Department when required.
