Job summary

Streamline Search is seeking an experienced CNC Operator to join a busy production team, focusing on processing structural steel sections accurately and on time, using CNC machinery and overhead cranes.

The ideal candidate has prior experience in structural steel environments, a keen eye for detail, good communication, and a commitment to health and safety. The role offers a Monday–Friday, full-time schedule with private healthcare and a salary sacrifice pension.

Qualifications

• Previous experience operating CNC machinery within a manufacturing, engineering or structural steel environment.
• Experience working with Structural Steel Sections is essential.
• Good understanding of CNC machinery and production processes.
• Good attention to detail with a strong focus on accuracy and quality.
• Good communication skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC machinery and associated equipment safely and efficiently, including overhead cranes.
• Ensure tooling is correct and fit for purpose before commencing work.
• Process structural steel sections accurately and efficiently, meeting required quality and production targets.
• Complete relevant documentation and record work activity using TnT scanning and Strumis systems.
• Carry out regular accuracy checks and ensure products are correctly marked before passing to the next operation.
• Report any machinery issues to the CNC/Production Manager or Maintenance Department.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment.
• Adhere to all Health and Safety procedures and written work instructions.
• Ensure materials are available to the Fabrication Department when required.

Our client is a well-established and highly respected structural steel fabrication and construction business, supplying and erecting fabricated steelwork across the UK and Ireland. Due to continued expansion, they are seeking a CNC Operator with experience working with Structural Steel Sections to join their busy Production team.

This role offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced CNC Operator to join a growing and ambitious business, reporting to the CNC/Production Manager and ensuring all parts are processed accurately and on time, whilst ensuring materials are available to the Fabrication Department when required.

CNC Operator - Position Remuneration

• 35,000- 40,000 depending on experience
• Monday to Friday, full-time
