Qualifications

• Flexible schedule with potential extended hours.
• Strong understanding of CNC machining principles.
• Knowledge of CAD/CAM capabilities.
• Experience in CNC router programming or willingness to learn proprietary software.
• Ability to read CAD/CAM drawings and translate to programs.
• Experience CNC machine minding in wood or metal.

Responsibilities

• Operate and program the CNC extrusion machining centre, with proprietary software.
• Minimise material wastage and optimise machine utilisation.
• Report problems to supervisor.
• Train to carry out tasks in machining/finishing dept, including CAD/CAM CNC machines.
• Liaise with design engineer to resolve queries.
• Coordinate with Machine Shop Department Leader to plan work.
• Report shortages of material stock, tooling, or consumables.
• Assist with maintenance program per manufacturer guidelines.
• Keep machines and work areas clean and tidy.
• Follow Health and Safety procedures at all times.
• Collaborate with production to resolve machining queries.
• Adhere to ISO9001 Quality procedures.
• Undertake other duties as requested.
