Job summary

James Kirby associates Ltd is seeking a CNC Operator for permanent night shifts in the UK. You will operate CNC turning machines, load/unload parts, and monitor cycles, with full training provided across different CNC machines.

The role offers a permanent position, shift allowance, and comprehensive training to develop skills in precision engineering. Hours are Monday to Friday, 10:00pm–6:00am with an early finish on Friday; benefits include 33 days holiday, a company pension, and overtime

Qualifications

• Some experience in CNC machining or operating CNC equipment is preferred.
• No extensive setting or programming required as full training is provided.

CNC Operator – Nights The Role

As a CNC Operator, you will be responsible for supporting the manufacture of precision-engineered components within a modern CNC machine shop.

• Operating CNC turning machines to manufacture precision components
• Loading and unloading components and monitoring machining cycles
• Running proven CNC programs

CNC Operator – Nights What We’re Looking For

• Some previous experience within CNC machining, CNC operating or a precision engineering environment would be desirable, but extensive setting or programming experience is not required.
• Have some experience operating CNC machinery or working within a machine shop
• Have an interest in CNC turning and precision engineering
• Are mechanically minded and keen to learn
• Have good attention to detail
• Are comfortable working permanent night shifts
• Are interested in developing their CNC machining skills through training
• Experience with CNC turning, FANUC controls, engineering drawings or manual measuring equipment would be advantageous, although full training can be provided.
