Job summary

CNC Recruitment Limited in Poole, Dorset is seeking an experienced CNC Mill/Turn Setter/Operator. You will set and operate CNC Mill/Turn lathes using FANUC controls to produce precision components to drawings and customer specs, while inspecting your own work to ensure top quality.

Essentially, an apprenticeship in Mechanical Engineering and proven CNC experience are required. You will work on aerospace-grade components, maintain 5S housekeeping, and strive for continuous improvement in a

Qualifications

• Completed a recognised apprenticeship in Mechanical Engineering.
• Proven experience as a fully skilled CNC Mill/Turn Setter/Operator.
• Strong working knowledge of FANUC control systems.
• Previous experience within the aerospace industry.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality components.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

Salary: £17.00 - £18.00 per hour plus 1.3x night shift enhancement

The Role

As a CNC Mill/Turn Setter/Operator, you will be responsible for setting and operating CNC Mill/Turn lathes using FANUC control systems to manufacture precision turned components to customer drawings and specifications. You will also be responsible for inspecting your own work to ensure the highest quality standards are maintained.
