Job summary

Streamline Search is assisting a well-established structural steel fabrication and construction business in recruiting a CNC Operator. The role focuses on operating CNC machinery to process structural steel sections safely and accurately, while maintaining production targets and equipment hygiene.

The successful candidate will have proven CNC experience in a manufacturing or structural steel setting, a strong eye for detail, and good teamwork and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Previous experience operating CNC machinery within a manufacturing, engineering or structural steel environment.
• Experience working with Structural Steel Sections is essential.
• Good understanding of CNC machinery and production processes.
• Good attention to detail with a strong focus on accuracy and quality.
• Good communication skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC machinery and associated equipment safely and efficiently, including overhead cranes.
• Ensure tooling is correct and fit for purpose before commencing work.
• Process structural steel sections accurately and efficiently, meeting required quality and production targets.

Our client is a well-established and highly respected structural steel fabrication and construction business, supplying and erecting fabricated steelwork across the UK and Ireland. Due to continued expansion, they are seeking a CNC Operator with experience working with Structural Steel Sections to join their busy Production team.

This role offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced CNC Operator to join a growing and ambitious business, reporting to the CNC/Production Manager and ensuring all parts are processed accurately and on time, whilst ensuring materials are available to the Fabrication Department when required.

CNC Operator - Position Remuneration

• £35,000-£40,000 depending on experience
• Monday to Friday, full-time

CNC Operators - Position Overview

• Operate CNC machinery and associated equipment safely and efficiently, including overhead cranes
• Ensure tooling is correct and fit for purpose before commencing work
• Process structural steel sections accurately and efficiently, meeting required quality and production targetsComplete relevant documentation and record work activity using TnT scanning and Strumis systems
• Carry out regular accuracy checks and ensure products are correctly marked before passing to the next operation
• Report any machinery issues to the CNC/Production Manager or Maintenance Department
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment
• Adhere to all Health and Safety procedures and written work instructions
• Ensure materials are available to the Fabrication Department when required
