Job summary

S & D Trade Recruitment Ltd is recruiting for a CNC Multi Spindle Lathe Turner in Standish, Wigan. The role involves setting and operating multi spindle CNC turning machines to produce precision components, working from engineering drawings and tolerances, and ensuring tooling, work holding and inspection are met to quality standards.

The position offers a 38-hour week with overtime at time and a half; 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, pension, and training opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience with multi spindle CNC turning
• Confident setting machinery and tooling
• Reading engineering drawings to tolerances
• First off and in-process inspection using standard gauges

Responsibilities

• Set and operate multi spindle CNC turning machines
• Manufacture components from engineering drawings to specified tolerances
• Carry out first off and in-process inspection
• Select and set tooling, fixtures and work holding
• Monitor component accuracy and adjust tooling or machine
• Load and prove out CNC programs
• Complete production and quality documentation per ISO 9001
