Job summary

HR GO Recruitment is seeking a CNC Millers to join a UK manufacturing team in Chatteris, Cambridgeshire. You will set up and operate CNC mills and machining centres to produce precision components to drawings and tolerances, with training available on controls.

Qualifications

• Experience as CNC Miller / CNC Machinist in manufacturing
• Read and interpret engineering drawings to confirm machining requirements
• Understanding of cutting tools, fixtures and work-holding
• Basic inspection capability (verniers, micrometers, gauges)
• GD&T knowledge is beneficial
• Good attention to detail, communication and teamwork

Responsibilities

• Set up (set and operate) CNC mills / machining centres to produce precision components
• Make basic CNC program adjustments/edits as required
• Read and interpret engineering drawings to confirm machining requirements
• Select and fit cutting tools, fixtures and work-holding devices
• Monitor machining processes to maintain quality and productivity
• Carry out basic inspections (visual and dimensional) to verify tolerances
• Identify and troubleshoot issues to minimise downtime
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised work area
