Job summary

Optima UK Inc Ltd is seeking an experienced CNC Miller Operator to join its aerospace manufacturing team on a permanent, days-based shift in the Leicestershire/Warwickshire border. You will operate CNC milling machinery to produce precision components, reading drawings, applying offset adjustments, and ensuring quality to tight tolerances.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of relevant CNC Miller Operator experience.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Experience making CNC offset adjustments.
• Experience using inspection and measuring equipment.
• Aerospace experience would be advantageous; strong precision engineering experience also considered.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC milling machines to produce precision components.
• Load and unload components from machines.
• Follow CNC programmes, drawings and work instructions.
• Make offset adjustments where required.
• Monitor machining processes and identify issues.
• Carry out in-process and final inspection.
• Use precision measuring equipment to verify tolerances.
• Maintain accurate production and quality records.
• Work to tight tolerances and aerospace quality standards.
• Maintain clean, safe and organised work area.
