Job summary
Rheinmetall is establishing a new production site in Telford and is seeking a CNC Setter/Operator for milling to join the early growth phase. You will work on large calibre components with tight tolerances, using multi-axis CNC machines, in a structured, high-precision environment.
The role involves setting up, operating, and inspecting parts, reporting production metrics, and contributing to continuous improvement. Training and career progression are provided.
Qualifications
- Experience operating CNC milling machines and setting up equipment.
- Ability to read and understand specifications, drawings and instructions.
- Proficient with jigs, fixtures and measuring tools.
- Strong commitment to quality control and attention to detail.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC milling machines (including multi-axis) in a 3-shift operation.
- Machining of high-precision components with tight tolerances for large calibre weapons systems.
- Produce according to SAP production orders and instructions.
- Inspect finished parts using specified measurement methods and test plans.
- Record production metrics in the factory data collection system.
- Select appropriate tools per SWI and support continuous improvement of processes.
- Coordinate with maintenance to address equipment issues and downtime.
