Job summary

TXM Recruit is supporting a leading engineering organisation to recruit an experienced CNC Miller to join its manufacturing team. You will program, set and operate high-precision 3-, 4- and 5-axis milling machines.

The role involves developing machining strategies, optimising tooling and processes, and collaborating with engineering teams and suppliers to improve performance. A strong background in multi-axis milling and experience with Heidenhain, Fanuc or Siemens controls is required.

Qualifications

• Programming, setting, and operating 3-, 4-, and 5-axis CNC milling machines.
• Editing and proving out CNC programs with various controls.
• Setting fixtures, tooling, work offsets, and machine parameters.
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, and procedures.
• Developing machining strategies and improving processes.

Responsibilities

• Programming, setting, and operating 3-, 4-, and 5-axis CNC milling machines.
• Edit and prove out CNC programs using various controls.
• Set fixtures, tooling, offsets, and machine parameters.
• Produce complex components for R&D and prototype manufacturing.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and specs.
• Optimize tooling, feeds, speeds, and strategies.
• Support continuous-improvement initiatives and 6S.
