Job summary

A CNC Milling Programmer/Setter/Operator/Works Foreman is sought in Telford to join a manufacturing team on a permanent basis. The role involves programming, setting and operating CNC milling machines, reading drawings and leading shop-floor activities.

You will drive continuous improvement, ensure health and safety and maintain quality standards; experience with Siemens/Heidenhain controllers and PowerMill CAM software is required.

Qualifications

• Time served CNC machinist.
• Strong CNC milling programming, setting and operating experience.
• CAD/CAM knowledge.
• Experience of operating Siemens/Heidenhain controllers is required.
• PowerMill CAM software experience is required.
• Able to read engineering drawings and experience with 3D CAD models.
• Leadership experience.
• ISO 9001 and lean manufacturing experience.

Responsibilities

• Programme, set and operate CNC Milling machines.
• Read engineering drawings and 3D CAD Models.
• Lead and manage the day-to-day shop floor operations.
• Drive continuous improvement activities.
• Ensure Health and Safety and quality standards are maintained.
