Job summary

Omega Plc in Derby is seeking a CNC Setter Operator for a weekend schedule, delivering precision milling for aerospace components. You will set up, operate milling machines, and ensure parts meet tight tolerances in a high-precision environment.

Candidates should have an engineering apprenticeship or significant milling experience, be able to read drawings, and perform self-inspection of parts. Security restrictions require UK citizenship.

Qualifications

• Engineering apprenticeship or significant experience.
• Able to Set and Operate Milling machines.
• Experience of milling machines - 3 or 5 Axis.
• Able to interpret engineering drawings.
• Able to self-inspect work using various inspection techniques.

Responsibilities

• Produce accurate, high-quality components with maximum efficiency
• Competently set and operate CNC machines
• Work to tight tolerances and check your own work meets the required standard
• Work on your own initiative and understand all aspects of the manufacturing process
• Quality check all finished jobs
• Clean and maintain CNC machines and all associated equipment and machine area
