Job summary

Holt Engineering Ltd. in Christchurch is seeking a CNC Miller Programmer to join its workshop team. The role offers an hourly rate of £18–£20 depending on experience, with hands-on work across milling, turning and inspection tasks.

The ideal candidate will programme, set and operate CNC milling machines, work with Fanuc controls, read detailed drawings and participate in first-off and final inspections to ensure quality and production targets are met.

Qualifications

• Previous experience programming, setting and operating CNC milling machines.
• Good knowledge of Fanuc controls.
• Ability to confidently interpret engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

• Programme, set and operate CNC milling machines.
• Use Fanuc-controlled machinery.
• Read and work from detailed engineering drawings.
• Complete first-off, sample and final inspections.
• Adjust programmes, tooling and offsets when required.
• Carry out deburring and general finishing work.
• Provide support with turning operations when required.
• Work as part of the wider workshop team to achieve production and quality targets.
