Contek Recruitment Solutions Ltd is seeking an experienced CNC Milling Operator to join a busy precision engineering workshop in Northampton. You will operate 3-, 4- and 5-axis milling machines, read complex drawings, and ensure tight tolerances through rigorous quality checks.

Qualifications

• Proven experienceWorking as a CNC Miller, Setter, or Operator within a precision engineering environment.
• Strong familiarity with common controls (such as Fanuc and/or Haas).
• Ability to read, understand, and work independently from engineering drawings.
• A meticulous approach to quality control and a strong eye for detail.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive, hands-on work ethic.
• Time-served apprenticeship or relevant technical qualification is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC milling machines (3, 4, or 5-axis)
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
• Perform quality checks using verniers, micrometers, gauges
• Monitor tool wear and troubleshoot machining issues
• Maintain clean, safe, organized workspace per health and safety standards
