Job summary

HR GO Group is recruiting for a CNC Miller to join a precision engineering toolroom in Hertford, Hertfordshire. You will set and operate CNC milling machines to produce tooling and precision components, reading engineering drawings and maintaining tight tolerances.

The role is permanent and full-time with salary £17-£20 per hour, with overtime opportunities. Applicants must have 2+ years of CNC milling experience and current UK right to work.

Qualifications

• 2+ years CNC milling setting/operating experience in a toolroom or precision engineering environment.
• Strong ability to read technical drawings and work to tight tolerances.
• Confident using measuring equipment and checking own work.

Responsibilities

• Setting and operating CNC milling machines to produce tooling and precision components.
• Working from engineering drawings, tolerances and specifications; setting tools, fixtures, work offsets and proving out jobs.
• Carrying out first-off and in-process inspection using measurement equipment (verniers, micrometers, gauges, etc.).
• Maintaining high standards of quality, safety, housekeeping and documentation.
• Supporting continuous improvement to reduce scrap/rework and improve output.
