Job summary

Adore Recruitment Ltd is seeking a skilled CNC Miller / Setter-Operator in Romford, Essex, to join a precision aerospace/defence engineering team. You will set and operate 4- and 5-axis machines, ensuring tight tolerances and high-quality outputs.

The role requires experience with Matsuura, Mori-Seiki, and Haas machines, plus a strong understanding of Fanuc controls and complex set-ups. A competitive package is on offer.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as CNC Miller / Setter-Operator in aerospace/defence.
• Strong knowledge of Fanuc controls and 4/5-axis machining.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and interpret tolerances.

Responsibilities

• Setting and operating Matsuura 5-axis machining centres.
• Setting and operating Mori-Seiki horizontal machining centres.
• Setting and operating Haas VMCs.
• Working across 4 and 5-axis machining.
• Carrying out complex machine set-ups and changeovers.
• In-process inspection and quality checks.
• Diagnosing and troubleshooting machine issues.
• Producing components to engineering drawings and customer specifications.
