Job summary

Precision Aerospace Engineering Romford is seeking an experienced CNC Miller/Setter/Operator to join its machining team. You will set up, prove out and run complex aerospace components to tight tolerances in a modern, low-to-medium batch environment.

Carry out first-off and in-process inspection, adjust offsets, and maintain documentation. The role offers an on-site, hands-on position with overtime opportunities and healthcare benefits.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as CNC Miller/Setter/Operator.
• Ability to read engineering drawings.
• Experience with Fanuc or Heidenhain controls.
• Aerospace or precision engineering background preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set, operate and prove out CNC milling machines.
• Take components from setup through to finished part, reading from engineering drawings.
• Work to tight tolerances and maintain high quality.
• Carry out first-off and in-process inspection.

CNC Miller / Setter / Operator Precision Aerospace Engineering Romford, Essex Permanent Position Complex components. Tight tolerances. Modern CNC machining. An established precision engineering business is expanding its machining team following continued growth and increasing customer demand. They’re looking for an experienced CNC Miller / Setter / Operator to join a technically strong manufacturing environment, producing complex, high-precision aerospace components in a low-to-medium batch setting. This is a hands‑on machining role for someone who enjoys setting, proving and producing quality components — not simply loading and unloading machines. The Role You’ll be responsible for taking components from setup through to finished part, working to tight engineering tolerances and maintaining consistently high standards of quality. Set, operate and prove out CNC milling machines Set tooling, fixtures, offsets and workholding Machine complex components from engineering drawings Work to demanding aerospace-level tolerances and specifications Carry out first-off and in-process inspection Monitor tool condition, machine performance and component quality Adjust offsets and cutting parameters where required Complete production, inspection and quality documentation Wha You’ll Bring Proven experience as a CNC Miller / Setter / Operator Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings Experience with Fanuc, Heidenhain or similar CNC controls Good knowledge of tooling, workholding, offsets and machining techniques Confident setting machines and producing components to specification Experience within aerospace or precision engineering is highly advantageous A genuine focus on quality, accuracy and getting the job right first time Why This Role?
