Job summary

We are seeking a highly skilled CNC Miller to join an engineering team in Eastbourne. The role involves operating manual machines, CNC setting and programming, grinding, and part inspection on precision components.

You will interpret engineering drawings, carry out quality inspections, and implement program adjustments to meet tight tolerances. The ideal candidate will have a strong machining background and pride in producing accurate work within a busy manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Experience as a CNC Miller.
• Experience reading engineering drawings.
• Strong understanding of machining processes and tooling.
• Experience carrying out quality inspections using measuring equipment.
• Experience within a precision engineering or manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Set and operate CNC milling machines to manufacture precision components.
• Work with Mazak and/or Doosan machinery to produce parts to specification.
• Interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.
• Carry out inspections and quality checks.
• Make program adjustments and offsets where required.
• Ensure components meet quality standards and customer specifications.
• Minimise machine downtime and maximise productivity.
• Complete production documentation accurately.
• Maintain machinery and work areas to high housekeeping standards.
