Job summary

WF Tech in Abingdon is seeking a skilled CNC Miller Setter to operate 3-, 4- and 5-axis milling machines. You will set up jobs, perform CMM inspections, and produce reports when required.

The role requires reading complex drawings, achieving tight tolerances across materials, and driving continuous quality improvements in a 5S environment aligned to ISO 9001:2015 standards.

Qualifications

• Experience with Fanuc controls or equivalent CNC control is preferred.
• Proven ability to work with tight tolerances on various materials.
• Extensive experience in multi-axis CNC machining and inspection.
• Ability to read and interpret component drawings and instructions.
• Experience with CMM inspection and producing inspection reports when required.

Job Title: CNC Miller Setter

Job Type: Days based, Perm

Hours: 8.00am-4.30pm Monday to Thursday and from 8.00am-1.00pm on Fridays.

Location: Abingdon

Salary: £21 - £22 per hour (£40,404 - £42,328)

A skilled CNC Miller Setter is required for a major supplier to high-tech companies in the UK? Oxford/Cambridge Arc of Innovation and Technology. Supplying to Nuclear fusion, Space Technologies, Medical innovation, F1 and many other demanding industries.

Your duties include:

• CNC Machining, and setting
• Operation of 3,4 & 5 axis CNC milling machines.
• Performing CMM inspection and production of inspection reports when required.
• Using initiative to improve quality/throughput etc o Working to scheduled lists
• Operate within a 5's manufacturing environment and to ISO 9001 :2015 quality standards

EXPERIENCE:

• Demonstrable experience of Fanuc controls or similar but not essential
• Experience of working with a variety of materials to tight tolerances
• Thorough experience of multi axis CNC machining
• Use of inspection tools (able to perform 100% inspection) and CMM desirable
• Thorough experience of reading & interpreting component drawings and instructions Working to high quality standards
• Programming ? Advantageous
