Job summary

Workforce Staffing in Bury is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to program, set and operate 3-axis milling machines using Heidenhain controls, producing bespoke components up to 4–5 metres.

This permanent, full-time role offers a 4-day week (Mon-Thu), paid 39 hours, overtime at 1.5x, and up to £21 per hour for highly skilled candidates. 33 days’ holiday, on-site parking and canteen facilities are provided.

Qualifications

• Proven experience programming, setting and operating CNC milling machines using Heidenhain controls.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Experience machining one-off bespoke components and large fabrications is highly desirable.
• Experience using standard inspection equipment such as verniers, micrometers and gauges.
• Strong focus on quality and attention to detail.
• Good organisation and time management skills.
• An engineering apprenticeship is desirable, although relevant experience is the overriding factor.
• Excellent rates of pay – up to £21.00 per hour for highly skilled candidates.

Responsibilities

• Work independently and collaboratively within the engineering team.
• Support production requirements, including overtime when required.

Salary:Up to £21.00 per hour DOE (depending on experience and skill level)

Working Hours

4-Day Working Week

• Monday to Thursday: 6:00am – 3:30pm
• Paid for 39 hours per week.
• Employees can either take their paid 15-minute tea break each day or work through it.
• Friday overtime available until 12:00pm, paid at 1.5x the hourly rate.
• Additional overtime is available and paid at 1.5x.
