Job summary

Optima UK Inc Ltd in Coventry is seeking an experienced CNC Miller Programmer Setter Operator to take ownership from drawing to finished component, including programming, setting, proving and machining.

The role focuses on small-batch and bespoke machining, with work across different components and materials. You will work with FANUC controls and a close-knit engineering team.

Qualifications

• Extensive CNC milling experience.
• Proven ability to programme, set and operate CNC milling machinery.
• FANUC controls experience - essential.
• Experience of programming for small-batch and varied production.
• Strong engineering drawing and specification interpretation.
• Good understanding of tooling and machining techniques.

Responsibilities

• Programming, setting and operating CNC milling machines.
• Producing specialist and low-volume precision components.
• Developing and modifying programmes to suit individual jobs.
• Carrying out programming both at the machine and offline.
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Working to close dimensional tolerances and demanding quality standards.
