Job summary

Contek Recruitment Solutions Ltd is seeking a skilled CNC Miller who can programme, set and operate from start to finish. You will work from drawings, select tooling, and prove out programmes across a variety of components.

The role supports a flexible sub-contract environment with small batches and bespoke work, offering a varied machining landscape and opportunities to handle large and small projects. Overtime is paid at time and a half.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a CNC Miller with full programming, setting and operating responsibilities.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings accurately.
• Experience using CAM software (OneCNC) and familiarity with Siemens/Heidenhain controls.
• Strong problem solving and attention to detail in a sub-contract environment.
• Capable of working independently on varied, small-batch projects.

Responsibilities

• Programming, setting and operating CNC milling machinery from start to finish.
• Work from drawings to produce accurate components.
• Program using OneCNC CAM or similar packages.
• Select tooling, workholding and machining strategies.
• Set machines and prove out programmes; inspect own work against drawings.
• Produce small batches and bespoke components; adapt to changing priorities.
