Ernest Gordon Recruitment Limited is seeking a CNC Miller for a Dartford-based role. The role involves interpreting engineering drawings and programming 3-axis CNC machines to manufacture precision components. You will measure parts with appropriate equipment and occasionally use manual tools to ensure exact dimensions.

The position offers a Monday to Friday, days-only schedule with overtime potential, a generous holiday allowance, enhanced pension, training and on-site parking.

Qualifications

• Experience interpreting engineering drawings with GD&T.
• Experience operating CNC milling machines.
• Proficiency in using measuring equipment to verify tolerances.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and machine finished parts from engineering drawings with GD&T.
• Use measuring tools to ensure accuracy of machined components.
• Set, operate and programme 3-axis CNC machines to produce precision parts.
• Utilise manual cutting tools when required to meet dimensions.

The Role

• Interpret and understand engineering drawings with a good understanding of geometric dimensions and tolerances to carry out machining of precision components
• Utilise a variety of measuring equipment to ensure the quality and accuracy of all machined components
• Use manual cutting tools when necessary to ensure sheet metal fulfils the required dimensions
• Set, operate and programme 3-axis CNC machines to produce a range of precision‑machined components

The Person

• Proven experience with a similar role
• Use of Heidenhain Controls is advantageous
