Job summary

The Collective Network Limited is seeking a skilled CNC Miller for our client equipment at a Basildon site. You will programme, set and run 3- and 4-axis machining centres with Heidenhain control on small batches and one-off parts, not a repeat run.

Responsibilities include reading drawings, selecting tooling, and working independently to keep a precise, safe shop floor. Hypermill experience is a bonus. Flex start times and competitive hourly rate with overtime and a pension scheme are offered.

Qualifications

• Solid CNC milling experience, ideally from automotive or aerospace.
• Confidence setting and running your own machines, not just operating.
• A good read on engineering drawings.
• The calm to work accurately under pressure, and the initiative to sort problems without waiting to be told.

Responsibilities

• Work confidently from engineering drawings.
• Select tooling, set and operate the machines yourself.
• Handle small batch and one-off work, often on large castings.
• Flag issues and suggest improvements as you go.
• Keep a safe, professional shop floor.
