Job summary

Actio Recruitment are seeking an experienced CNC Miller Programmer, Setter and Operator for a permanent dayshift role in the Portsmouth area. You will program, set and operate Hurco-controlled milling machines on a 40-hour week, producing precision components and ensuring quality targets are met.

Reading drawings, inspecting work in process, and adjusting tooling and offsets as required, with a strong emphasis on safety and housekeeping.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a CNC Miller Programmer, Setter and Operator.
• Strong knowledge of Hurco controls preferable but open to others with training provided.
• Ability to program at the machine from engineering drawings.
• Experience machining a variety of materials.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good understanding of quality inspection procedures and measuring equipment.

CNC Miller Programmer / Setter / Operator Portsmouth Area Dayshift £19.50 - £20.50 per hour Permanent Position Actio Recruitment are delighted to be assisting a well-established engineering company in the Portsmouth area in their search for an experienced CNC Miller Programmer, Setter and Operator.

The Role

Working on a permanent dayshift (40 hrs p/w), you will be responsible for programming, setting and operating CNC milling machines with Hurco controls, ensuring quality standards and production targets are consistently achieved.

• Programming CNC milling machines using Hurco controls
• Setting and operating CNC machining centres
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
• Producing precision components to tight tolerances
• Conducting in-process inspection using standard measuring equipment
• Making tooling and offset adjustments as required
• Maintaining high standards of quality, safety and housekeeping

Candidate Requirements

• Proven experience as a CNC Miller Programmer, Setter and Operator
