Job summary

Wild Recruitment is seeking an experienced CNC Miller Setter/Programmer/Operator (Hurco) to join a precision engineering company in Havant.

You will program, set and operate Hurco milling machines, read engineering drawings and prepare tooling for production, with first-off and in-process inspections.

This temp-to-perm role offers 40 hours per week at £19.50 per hour.

Qualifications

• Experience setting, programming and operating Hurco CNC milling machines.
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
• Experience manufacturing precision components to tight tolerances.
• Good understanding of tooling, feeds and speeds.
• Competent using inspection and measuring equipment.

CNC Miller Setter/Programmer/Operator (Hurco)

Pay Rate: £19.50 per hour

Hours: 40 hours per week

Contract: Temp to Perm

Location: Havant

We are currently seeking an experienced CNC Miller Setter/Programmer/Operator to join a well-established precision engineering company. This is an excellent temp-to-perm opportunity for a skilled machinist with strong Hurco milling experience.

The successful candidate will be responsible for programming, setting and operating CNC milling machines. While programming and operating experience are important, the ability to confidently set Hurco machines is the key requirement for this role.

Key Responsibilities

• Setting, programming and operating Hurco CNC milling machines
• Setting tools, fixtures and work-holding equipment for production runs
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
• Producing precision components to tight tolerances
• Editing and modifying programs as required
• Carrying out first-off and in-process inspections
• Using measuring equipment including micrometers, verniers and gauges
• Ensuring quality standards and production targets are met
• Maintaining a safe and tidy working environment

Essential Requirements

• Previous experience setting, programming and operating Hurco CNC milling machines
• Strong machine setting experience, with the ability to work independently
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
• Experience manufacturing precision components to tight tolerances
• Good understanding of tooling, feeds and speeds
• Competent using inspection and measuring equipment
• Reliable, self-motivated and quality-focused approach
